Kellen Malloy Studio exists to offer innovative, high quality custom made music for commercial video and film projects—with all the professional quality and experience of major production studios—but with a more competitive value. Being an artist first and producer second, most of my time is spent on full release projects of my own — so I take a lot of pride in spending that extra time to put those crucial little details into making each tune original, progressive and most importantly, current.

My Specialty
Being a guitarist for almost 14 years now—as well as keeping up on contemporary techniques in production—I have found a distinctive niche creating elaborate guitar-based ‘atmospheres’ for numerous large scale projects. The most notable being a pivotal scene in upcoming feature film release, ‘Renee’ (staring Kat Dennings, Chad Michael Murray) — as well as entire guitar-based campaigns for REVO and Oakley Women via Denver agency Factory Design Labs.

Although guitar is my specialty, I have also worked successfully on numerous custom electronic music compositions (being an LA based DJ as well) — in addition to orchestral scores, sound design and VO’s (most notably a 30 sec TV spot for San Diego based clothing company J!NX, airing on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim).

In May of 2010, after graduating from University of Florida with a liberal arts degree in Econ, I made the move west to the beautiful north-county San Diego. During this time, I set up a formidable home studio and managed to fully support myself with music composition and record production. At the end of 2011, after releasing my first EP under the name Kith & Kell, I decided to make the move north to Silver Lake, LA—a place I had already created a small base. From here I plan on writing a debut album for said music project and expanding my base in scoring & composition in the immensely competitive but stimulating jungle that is Los Angeles.
